How to make Corn bread
Welcome to this blog first of all. We will be posting every Monday Wednesday and Friday, so enjoy!
First heat your oven to 400 degrees F
then spray the bottom and sides of an 8-inch square pan or 9 inch round cake pan with the cooking spray.
Next in a 1-quart saucepan heat a 1/4 stick of butter over low heat until melted
Now if you are making the cornmeal instead of buying it this is how you do it,
First get a wheat grinder and grind some corn,
But make sure to turn the wheat grinder on before pouring anything in it or else it will break
Just grind it until every last grain goes in.
I should look like this once your done.
Now we start, in a large bowl or bosh mix the melted butter, 1 cup of milk and a large egg until well mixed.
Now add the 1 and 1/4 cups of yellow white or blue cornmeal 1 cup or all purpose flour 1/2 cup of granulated sugar 1 tablespoon of baking powder and a 1/2 a teaspoon of salt
And then mix it up
This is what it should look like when it's done
Pour it into your pan
Then bake to 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a tooth pick inserted in he center comes out clean
Thanks for reading!
